In the 1980’s our Family had established a successful small chain of
Donair/Gyro restaurants . Based on a recipe developed by our late father, the
restaurant’s Donair menu drew record crowds to indulge in the aromatic,
flavorful Mediterranean Donair. The popularity of the recipe brought the
competitors to the back door of the restaurants to purchase the Donair cones, to
be sold in their restaurants. In the early 1990’s, a commercial Donair facility was established by three of the brothers , producing Donair/Gyro cones for the
restaurant and institutional market place. With great success and growth, the
company was relocated to a new home with a much larger capacity for
production and storage of finished products. As the original concept Architect Allan decided to expand on the original concept by providing healthy and tasteful
gourmet Mediterranean meat products to complement the original line. Hence Phoenicia Gourmet Foods was born under the registered trade label Finicia Gourmet Foods.Today Finicia products are being produced in partnership in a HACCP approved facilities insuring excellence in food safety and manufacturing procedures.
